Roommates 4 Lyfe

A love song with a wink. An inside joke becomes an open-hearted celebration of queer love.

Behind the song

The title began as an inside joke between Tyra and her wife. After being mistaken for sisters or roommates, the question became part of their own love story: when her wife proposed, she asked if Tyra wanted to be roommates for life. The song brings that humour and affection into the open.

Songwriting and vocals: Tyra Whitson. Bass: Alex Kroeger. Drums and music production: Brandon Kroeger. Video production: Natalia Jachyra.
